is opposite. do you know anyone that lives and works in new york city and says i feel safe walking around these parts? >> i have not heard that, i hear people standing away from subway tracks and watching their backs and making sure they get home safe. i am a life-long new yorker, i lived here since 2011 and never seen it more eerie and on your toes than ever before. >> todd: you said nothing is changing since your attack. why do you think criminals like the ones who attacked you feel so embolden right now? >> i'm not going to attack any politician specifically tissuing is a systemwide systemic problem. this whole narrative that criminals should be given a break and they will magically change their way and improve their behavior. i'm sorry, i disagree with that, punishing people and holding them accountable is right way to deal with wrongdoers.

crew. will study the eclipse. the other jet is another operator and another pilot running another set of equipment and experiment for university of hawaii. >> carley: you will essentially be studying the atmosphere around the sun, is that right? looking for dust rings and asteroids, why would nasa want to study those things? >> our job is to go up and collect the data, been explained to me as a sensor operator, what they are looking for. we are studying the corona, which is hotter than the surface, which is counter intuitive, is something they don't understand yet. when we flew the eclipse in 2017, i was not part of the crew at that time. we measured midway and had a lot of success and improved sensors

and going to go up and look at the eclipse. >> carley: tell us about this experience. give us details about what you think you will see when you're 50,000 feet in the air as opposed to the ground and how long will you be able to follow the eclipse in the path of d darkness, as they say? >> we're going to fly out of texas, originally ellington, now we have to relocate because of weather. we will relocate to el paso the day before. we will move from el paso the day of the eclipse and fly to western border of mexico where it meets the coast to have the proper angle. the pilot, tom will put us right where we need to be, dustin and m

for the question. i am a guy from a small town, bear creek, alabama with no aviation or flight experience. my parents taught me to do the best i can. i got to go to college and worked for an engineering firm and they had an opening in the backseat, that is engineer ing position, you don't need a pilots, you need somebody familiar with equipment. i have been working with this system for 10 years now. from nowhere bear creek, alabama, same message i instill in my daughters and kids, whatever opportunity, grab it, do the best you can with it and here i am 50,000 feet for nasa. >> carley: inspirational story, it goes down on monday and you have the best seat in the house. tony casey, nasa astronaut, member of the flight crew, you

said >> when can you see the solar eclipse? >> todd: adam klotz joins us now. this is awesome, you have details when and where we can watch. >> adam: exactly, cloud cover will play a big part in this. low pressure system in middle of the country on minute that will impact viewing times. here is timeline for when you can see it beginning across portions of texas, central time 1:40 in dallas and working up through middle of the country and indianapolis 3:06 before moving to great lakes and interior new england. 100% totality, you can look up and see the solar eclipse in new york city, 89% cover, you need to be within the path to see 100% of the sun covered by the moon. what about cloud cover? pressure system moving in and looking like it is targeting the

south. historically, if you were planning months ago, you think texas is place that in april is sunnier, low pressure system is going to be moving through and we are expecting overcast conditions in san antonio, cloudy in dallas and risk for severe weather across the region in the afternoon on monday, that could make viewing this difficult and breaks in the cloud will happen and head north and midwest, southern illinois and indianapolis, few clouds, you only need a little break to see this, only takes one cloud to ruin it. you run back up across portions of the interior new england and it is dicey, buffalo forecast for clouds, burlington a few. cloud forecast can be challenging this many days out. guess what, guys? here on fox news and fox weather, we have so many people everywhere, no way you will miss
